Site and grid capacity assessment

You know what is possible at your site, and what it is worth, before the first investment. We examine roof areas, structural capacity, the quarter-hourly load profile and the real grid connection capacity — and that saves you expensive mistakes in planning.

What it includes
  • Analysis of the load profile in quarter-hourly values
  • Assessment of roof and open areas, including orientation and shading
  • Classification of the grid situation and the available connection capacity
  • Comparison with plans already made for the site (expansion, fleet, processes)
  • Several sites side by side, where they exist
What you get
  • Assessment report with a potential statement per site
  • The basis for every decision that follows
Makes sense when
  • An offer is on the table and you want to know whether it fits
  • Several sites need to be prioritised
  • Before any investment decision

We rank sites from map data before the first contact. It becomes reliable with your load profile.

Engineering design and protection concept

You get a sound basis for approval and construction. Transformer station, protection concept and the preparation of plant certification to VDE-AR-N 4110 and 4120 are already part of it — and from then on, offers refer to the same thing.

What it includes
  • System concept with two or three variants
  • Layout plan and module arrangement according to area and structure
  • Inverter and string concept
  • Integration into the existing electrical system, locations for storage and charge points
  • Interfaces to existing plant and ongoing operation
What you get
  • System concept with variants
  • Documents for tendering and comparing offers
Makes sense when
  • Before offers are requested
  • When the offers you have are not comparable

Design belongs before the offer. The other way round costs money.

Commercial and industrial solar

Low-cost power of your own for decades. We deliver systems on flat roofs, trapezoidal sheet, facades, open land and car park canopies — sized to your actual consumption, not to the largest possible number of modules.

What it includes
  • Sizing from the load profile and simultaneity
  • South, east-west or mixed layout, compared
  • Preliminary structural check and coordination with the building structure
  • Concept for feed-in, curtailment and direct marketing where it makes sense
  • Check of the roof condition and, if needed, refurbishment planned in with specialist firms
  • Support through tendering, award and commissioning
What you get
  • Sizing with variants
  • Yield forecast based on site data
  • A statement on the roof condition and on the order of refurbishment and installation
Makes sense when
  • A new system is planned
  • An existing system is to be extended
  • A roof refurbishment is due

A roof refurbishment is the cheapest moment for solar — afterwards it gets expensive. If the roof is due, we plan both as one job and bring in the specialist firms we work with. For you it stays one point of contact across both trades.

LB-04

Battery storage (BESS)

Lower demand charges and more of your own solar power used on site. The battery shaves peak loads and shifts surpluses into the evening and night. On request it is also designed for back-up supply.

Our own software

Control runs on software we build ourselves: energy management and virtual power plant on one platform. It is available as a service, under licence, or as a complete package with operation — for utilities also under their own brand.

What it includes
  • Sizing from the actual load profile
  • Power and capacity treated separately, according to the objective
  • Defining the operating mode: self-consumption, peak shaving, grid support
  • Location, fire protection and access
  • A check of whether a battery pays for itself at all
What you get
  • Sizing with operating mode
  • The business case for the battery, shown separately
Makes sense when
  • High peaks in the load profile
  • Generation and consumption fall at different times
  • Charging infrastructure is planned

If the load profile shows no benefit, we say so — even where a battery is wanted. Where capacity is marketed later, the reserve for your own operation stays contractually secured.

LB-05

Fleet charging infrastructure (HPC and AC)

Your fleet charges without the grid connection reaching its limit. Dynamic load management distributes the available power, and the system grows with your fleet. The hardware is rarely the problem — the connection is, as soon as several points draw at once.

What it includes
  • Deriving demand from usage patterns and standing times
  • Assessing simultaneity instead of adding up rated power
  • Load management instead of an expensive connection upgrade
  • Billing, access and operator model
  • Preparing expansion stages: ducts and reserves laid today
What you get
  • Concept with expansion stages
  • The effect on peak load and connection, calculated
Makes sense when
  • The fleet is being electrified
  • Charge points for staff or customers are planned
  • Existing charge points are reaching their limits

Planning charge points without looking at the connection means paying twice.

Grid connection and permits

Your connection arrives sooner and without expensive surprises. We run the grid connection process through to approval, handle medium-voltage certification to VDE-AR-N 4110 and 4120 and take care of planning consent. The grid connection is the one variable in a project you cannot decide yourself — which is why we raise the question early.

What it includes
  • Preparing and filing the connection request
  • Coordination with the grid operator throughout
  • Interpreting the response: what it means for size and schedule
  • Clarifying voltage level, grid connection point and metering concept
  • Replanning when less capacity is granted than assumed
What you get
  • A filed connection request
  • A binding framework for all further planning
Makes sense when
  • Before any larger investment
  • When an extension is coming
  • When the connection is already fully used

The processing time belongs to the grid operator. Filing early is the only lever there is.

Power and voltage quality

Your machines run without disturbances. We measure harmonics and grid distortion with our own diagnostic software and remove the causes before they lead to failures. Without measurement you only notice them as losses, heat or conditions imposed by the grid operator.

Our own software

We evaluate the measurement with software we developed ourselves. It shows not only that power quality deviates, but where in the network it does. That makes it clear where a measure works — and where it only costs money.

What it includes
  • Measurement across a typical working week
  • Assessment of harmonics and reactive power
  • Comparison against the grid operator's requirements
  • Proposed measures: filters, compensation, changes to the operating mode
  • Repeat measurement once the measures are in place
What you get
  • Measurement report with assessment
  • Proposed measures in order of priority
Makes sense when
  • Before an extension
  • With unexplained losses or disturbances
  • When the grid operator imposes conditions

Measuring before an extension is cheaper than retrofitting after it. Where a battery is installed, its inverter can compensate part of the distortion — we document the improvement with values before and after.

Financing through our finance partner

You realise your project without tying up your investment budget. Contracting, PPA, leasing, hire purchase and tolling are available. If you prefer to invest yourself, you get planning and turnkey delivery from us. For a direct investment we prepare the figures so that your tax adviser can examine possible benefits such as the German investment deduction (IAB).

What it includes
  • Comparison of the models: contracting, on-site PPA, cPPA and vPPA
  • Leasing, hire purchase and tolling as alternatives
  • A business case per technical variant, with open assumptions
  • Preparation for the finance partner, banks and funds
  • For a direct investment: planning, delivery and system integration
What you get
  • A proposed model for your site
  • A business case with open assumptions
Makes sense when
  • Before the investment decision
  • When no investment budget is free
  • When several variants are on the table

Which model fits depends on site, consumption and your accounting — that is what the site check clarifies. Tax effects we only calculate together with your tax adviser.

Software for utilities and operators

Do you run your own plants or a portfolio? Our platform for energy management and virtual power plant is available as a software service, under licence, or as a complete package in which we take over operation for you.

Our own software

We build the platform ourselves. Energy management behind the meter and marketing in front of the meter run on the same system — which part you use, and who operates it, is your decision.

What it includes
  • Energy management behind the meter: control of generation, storage and charge points
  • Marketing in front of the meter through the virtual power plant
  • Metering, energy accounting and billing, including tenant supply
  • Open interfaces to the systems you already run
  • Operation as a service, under your own brand on request
What you get
  • One platform for every plant in your portfolio
  • A choice between software service, licence and complete package
Makes sense when
  • You control plants for your own customers
  • A portfolio of several sites is growing
  • An own marketing offering is to be added

The three routes differ in how much operation stays with you, not in what the platform can do. What suits your IT is something we settle before roll-out.

Principle

Every service delivers a result that somebody else could work with.

That is deliberate. Dependency is not a business model.

Frequent questions

What people usually ask about our services.

01 Do we have to order all nine services?

No. Each one can be ordered on its own. The sequence is a recommendation, not a package — and if a basis is missing, we say so before building on it.

02 What does a single service cost?

That depends on the scope: one site with an existing load profile is something other than five sites without data. You get an offer before any work starts.

03 Do you work with our existing planners?

Yes. We review existing plans, add what is missing and hand over results in a form your planners can continue to work with.

04 Do you also carry out the installation?

No. Construction is done by specialist firms selected together with you. We prepare the decision and supervise delivery.

Site check

What is possible at your site?

In a thirty-minute first conversation you get an initial assessment of which combination of solar, battery storage and charging infrastructure could relieve your site. Checking and calculating come afterwards — with your load profile and the grid operator's information.

  • Thirty minutes, no preparation, no obligation
  • Area and grid potential: what is technically possible
  • Financing options: how the project works without your budget

Helpful, but not required

  • Load profile or annual consumption
  • Roof drawings or an aerial photo
  • Your last electricity bill
  • Any plans for the site

If you have none of this, that is no obstacle. The load profile can be requested from your metering operator — we tell you how in the conversation.
